Software Engineers

We are a fast growing software company currently seeking 10 or more Software Engineers / Developers to add to help develop integrated natural language, database, and speech processing applications. All ideal candidates must possess a constant desire to learn new things, the ability to think creatively and outside the box, and the ability to work in a team environment. Those applying for the Software Engineer position must have a solid foundation developing applications in Java or C#. The successful candidates will work with a team of researchers and engineers who have developed award-winning technologies in natural language processing, specifically in question answering, information extraction and information retrieval, to improve existing technologies as well as develop brand new technologies.
Requirements:
- Software Engineer / Developer:
- Strong programming skills in Java or C#.
- Strong knowledge of product development under Unix/Linux.
- Education: BS in Computer Science. MS or PhD is a plus.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work with others in a team environment
- Desire to learn and pioneer new technologies
Desirable:
- Natural language processing (NLP), linguistics, artificial intelligence (AI), and/or speech processing experience
- Industry R&D experience
- Database programming/development
- Other programming languages: Perl, Python, PHP, Ruby
- Source code management (e.g. SVN, CVS)
- Experience with multi-threaded / distributed applications

Research Scientists AI/NLP
Research Scientists to develop natural language understanding applications. Research Scientists must have a strong desire to learn new things, the ability to think creatively, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Required:
- Ph. D. in computer science, computational linguistics, artificial intelligence, or mathematics
- Research experience in natural language processing (NLP), computational linguistics, artificial intelligence (AI), speech processing, computer vision and/or knowledge representation
Desirable:
- Industry R & D experience
- Experience with some programming language: e.g. Java, Perl, Python, Ruby
- Database programming/development
- Experience with source code management (e.g. CVS, SVN)
- Experience with multi-threaded / distributed applications
- Experience in grant or proposal writing, giving presentations
