Innovative Solutions, Passionate Employees
At Language Computer, we know that great people are the secret to creating great software products. We're always on the lookout for talented and energetic individuals who are committed to developing innovative new technologies that will change the way the world interacts with information.
Founded in 1995, Language Computer is a recognized industry leader in the field of natural language processing. While we’ve long been known for the quality of our research, we’re also gaining a reputation for developing software solutions that are solidly engineered and provide unbeatable performance across a wide range of application domains.
At LCC, engineers, researchers, and application developers work together in small teams to tackle a variety of challenging problems related to text annotation, semantic search, or information processing. Whether it's developing a truly "semantic" search capability for users in any domain or helping sports-mad users extract NBA scores from Farsi- or French-language documents, LCC's employees have the freedom -- and the support -- necessary to create the new kinds of NLP tools that information consumers need.
General descriptions of our positions are listed below. To see a listing of our current openings, please click here.Software Engineers

Successful candidates will work with a team of researchers and engineers working on a number of problems in natural language processing, including content management, text annotation, information extraction, and semantic search. Foreign language skills are a plus.Research Scientists
Candidates who hold a PhD in a relevant field (such as Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Artificial Intelligence, or Mathematics) are invited to apply for positions as Research Scientists with LCC. Research experience in natural language processing, computational linguistics, artificial intelligence, or knowledge representation is required. Experience with some programming language (e.g. Java, Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.) is a must. Foreign language skills are a plus.Domain Specialists
We invite candidates with a background (B.S., M.S., or Ph.D.) in computational linguistics, anthropology, or sociology to apply for positions as Domain Specialists. At LCC, Domain Specialists work with teams of Software Engineers and Research Scientists in order to provide the knowledge resources our products need to be both accurate and responsive. Some industry experience in natural language processing, computational linguistics, artificial intelligence, or knowledge representation is required. Experience with some programming language (e.g. Java, Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.) is desirable. Foreign language skills are a plus.Human-Computer Interaction Specialists
